Ambient Meditation 2.1 is now available as a completely free app. Every one of its 36 soundscapes is included, with no ads, subscriptions, in-app purchases, or account requirement.
The app combines ambient audio with a flexible meditation timer, favourites, session history, background playback, a compact mini player, and offline listening. Sessions continue while the screen is locked or while another app is open, and the sound library remains available without an internet connection after installation.
Version 2.1 also brings the app and its support information in line with the current release across iPhone and iPad. The iPad app is also available on compatible Apple-silicon Macs running macOS 26 or later; Apple currently marks that Mac compatibility as not verified.
