Pattern and Clip Bank

Save, audition, import, export, and reuse Patterns or clips across Songs.

The shared BANK

Open BANK from the Song workspace. Each bank has 16 pads and you can keep up to 16 banks. BANK is global: opening a different Song does not replace it.

The BANK here stores musical Patterns and clips. The BANK tab inside a voice's SOUND browser instead contains that voice's ten user sample slots.

On upgrade, legacy saved user preset slots migrate into shared banks such as User A and User B where space is available. The migration preserves the original data and can safely resume after interruption.

Save the current Pattern

  1. 01

    Build a Pattern

Create the groove in SEQ and finish its sounds, steps, mixer, and effects.

  2. 02

    Choose an empty pad

Open BANK and select an empty pad.

  3. 03

    Save

Choose SAVE CURRENT PATTERN HERE and complete the naming/save flow.

  4. 04

    Use the item

Tap a saved Pattern and choose LOAD TO SEQUENCER to hear or edit it. Saved clips provide AUDITION and SELECT; choose the source in the Song tray for placement.

Import and export

  • An empty pad offers SAVE CURRENT PATTERN HERE, IMPORT PATTERN HERE, and IMPORT WAV / MP3 / M4A / AAC HERE.
  • Pattern files use .tempo1pattern. Bank import accepts .tempo1bank and legacy .tempo1presets files.
  • Pattern export offers TEMPO-1 PATTERN, MIDI FILE, and AUDIO LOOP. Choose the native Pattern format when you want to keep TEMPO-1 editing state.
  • An audio loop is rendered sound; MIDI is note data. Neither replaces a complete editable native Pattern backup.

Save a take for reuse

  1. 01

    Select the take

Select a recorded Song take and choose SAVE in its editing controls.

  2. 02

    Choose the format

Keep the MIDI item, or choose BOUNCE AUDIO to capture its sound. Pattern / MIDI takes retain their step editing; Instrument takes retain performance and parameter automation.

  3. 03

    Pick a bank

Choose a destination; PREV, NEXT, and NEW navigate or create banks.

  4. 04

    Place again

Select a saved clip and use PLACE to put it at the Song playhead, or choose it in the tray.

Copies in Songs

  • Placed copies remain available when a library item is deleted.
  • Keep both a Song package and the bank files you want to reuse in future projects. A global bank is not the same thing as a Song backup.
